Meeting Uncle Bob in Panthers Legends Hometown

Our Penrith Wellbeing Officer Lucy travelled out to Riverstone, the birth place of former Penrith legend Joel Clinton, to see another great man known as Uncle Bob!

Uncle Bob had recently lost his wife of 50 years to cancer and had devoted his time to her health, especially over the last 10 years. He has always been a pillar of strength in his family and to anyone who needs a hand. We had been told from his family that Bob has done it really tough lately and requested a visit as they love him so much.

He spoke about how he has taken his family to many a footy match over the years, his love for Parramatta Eels after supporting the Berries before the Eels came into the comp, being a brick layer, playing footy on the weekend and his a passion for vintage cars. The absolute joy on his face when describing the atmosphere at the ground when his beloved Eels won their first premiership was brilliant.

We hope to see him at upcoming kick-off clubs and Men of League Foundation events.
